Dear Maintainer,

   * What led up to the situation?

I upgraded from jessie to stretch.

   * What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or
     ineffective)?

I rebooted the system with laptop lid closed and external monitor connected.

   * What was the outcome of this action?

The system suspended upon reaching the login screen.

   * What outcome did you expect instead?

The system should recognize I'm operating in a docking-station/desktop mode
(laptop lid closed, but external monitor connected) and not suspend.

Thanks.

This bug appears to have been fixed by the latest gdm3 (3.18.0-2) to
hit testing.
Perhaps related to the removal of the special .session file?
Thanks
Stuart
