Dear Maintainer,

I want to ssh to some machines over VPN. SSH always hangs at a line
saying

   debug1: expecting SSH2_MSG_KEX_ECDH_REPLY

* What led up to the situation?
I don't know. It still worked back at may or july but doesn't now.

* What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or ineffective)?
The internet is full of stuff related to this one. For example, Debian
bug #747096 is very similar. Unfortunately, all reported workarounds
do not work for me. I tried to lower the MTU to 1200 and 1480 (it is
1500 on default) and I tried to specify a cipher via the '-c' switch.

* What was the outcome of this action?
If I lower the MTU, SSH hangs at

    debug1: SSH2_MSG_KEXINIT sent.

Besides that, nothing changed to my knowledge.

* What outcome did you expect instead?
Being able to establish an connection.

Fortunately I am able to connect to one machine without a VPN. Without a
VPN the connection establishes. I'll attach them as file.

sincerely,
Max Görner
