I have an USB "3G/4G" modem dongle: huawei E8278s-602.

The modem switch happens properly:
from 12d1:14fe to 12d1:1506

The only suspicious dmesg message is:
"huawei_cdc_ncm 5-2:1.1: unknown notification 3 received: index 1 len 4"
which can happens several times.

Then, I configure my broadband connexion in the networkmanager applet with the
proper static APN. Everything goes ok (I can see the modem in modem-manager-gui) till
the dhcp ip configuration where the USB dongle crashes and is reset.

The only way I could make this dongle work is through the wifi/USB ethernet
"double NAT" (hides the wan IP which is NATed too), with the APN configuration
done with a heavy www browser in the 192.168.1.1 admin interface (no telnet or
"lynx" support).
