Dear Maintainers,

Please consider adopting systemd-vconsole for, at least, the basic
configuration of virtual consoles at boot time. Additional, more complex
configurations could be performed, as they are now, by more advanced
scripts.

Debian is the only major distro whose basic keyboard mapping is not
configured via `/etc/vconsole.conf`. Adopting systemd-vconsole will make
the documentation available around the net and on freedesktop.org
applicable also to Debian. It will also make it possible to configure
the keyboard mapping via kernel command line options like
`vconsole.keymap=`, that may be extremely helpful in certain situations.
