I started to use Evolution some time ago, and noticed that event notifications/remainders from the calendar are not shown. Then i found out that the event notifications/reminders need to get activated in the calendar settings dialog (e.g. show reminder 15 minutes before the event...). A restart of evolution did not solve the issue.

A kill of the following services and a start of evolution seem to fix the issue: evolution-source-registry, evolution-alarm-notify
