Request
Please add the ability to set Bookmarks Sidebar behaviors in a Preferences tab
Problem
Navigating to a bookmarked site in a new tab requires two steps that can be
eliminated:
Step 1 - open sidebar
Step 2 - find link
Step 3 - right-click on link
Step 4 - select open in new tab
Step 5 - close sidebar
Action Taken
I have installed an add-on called “Open Bookmarks in New Tab” that opens a
bookmark in a new tab. Then when I am working I type ctrl-b with one hand
before clicking on the link I want and then closing the sidebar by either
typing ctrl-b again or clicking on the close button.
Current Behavior
The current configuration requires that I install yet another add-on and take
five separate steps.
Suggested Behavior
Give the user the ability to set the sidebar’s behavior so it opens a
bookmark in a new tab before closing. Then the task could be completed in only
three steps. Further, it would eliminate the need to install an add-on. The
required steps would then be:
Step 1 - open sidebar
Step 2 - find link
Step 3 - click on link
