Dear Maintainer, The gpu occasionally locks up at random. Sometimes it can recover, other times it requires a restart. GPU is radeon HD6850. uname -a gives the following: Linux debian 4.3.0-1-amd64 #1 SMP Debian 4.3.3-5 (2016-01-04) x86_64 GNU/Linux
i think i have same bug, but different gpu which is amd hd5850. crashes are rare, roughly speaking once a month but recently somewhat more common. crashes happen randomly but i suspect some kind of action is needed to crash the system like drawing web page or clicking the mouse button. when crashes happen it usually gets into black screen with total linux freeze, and log files doesn't contain anything relevant, last time i used netconsole (kernel logs) without anything relevant. one time screen has gone into black and recovered and crashed after that. one time it rebooted (though i was sleeping so i didn't know what was going on exactly, xscreensaver was on though). this bug report exist already so i send this information but i have other suspects like motherboard.
