Hi,

I noticed that I have a non-downloadable binary-package named
fonts-droid installed. Looking why it has been removed I saw that it
bascially just has been renamed to fonts-droid-fallback.

So I think, the fonts-android source package should provide a
transitional binary-package from fonts-droid to fonts-droid-fallback.

Quoting Axel Beckert (2016-03-06 15:47:37)
has a sort-of replacement (but not exactly!) in fonts-noto, but another
part is preserved in Debian as fonts-droid-fallback because the exact
form is needed (for Ghostscript - not sure if other places too).

Hi,

as Jonas explained and as it can be read in bug #859913 the situation
does not permit some simple transitional package (since its not clear
whether to transition to fonts-noto or fonts-droid-fallback. That's why
I tag the bug wontfix.

Kind regards
    Andreas.
