Immediately after starting it, wvdial goes into a busy loop if the
/var partition is full.  It works fine if there is room in the /var
partition.

Linux 2.2.17pre16
libc6 2.2-5 (though the latest shares this behaviour)

If other info is neaded please let me know.

If this is the Debian package, then it was compiled with liblockdev which
might be the one responsible for this.
