Dear Maintainer,

it would be great if the ngx_pagespeed could be integrated into the
nginx-extras package or as a sperate libnginx-mod-pagespeed module:

This module is widely used to reduce page load time and to speed up web
pages. I think the Debian nginx packages could really benefit from
inclusion of this module.

The author of this module has proven to be an unreliable upstream
contact. Even if we were willing to add modules to the nginx
packaging, this would be in the No pile.

With http2, pagespeed is falling out of use pretty quickly. It's not
as valuable as you might think.


Both of these bugs are being merged with our no-new-modules bucket. We
are working to allow any number of new modules, in the future; we're
not there, yet. When we do get there, these bugs will be expected to
be filed as ITP/RFP's. ;)
