Description : client for VPN service Mullvad
Mullvad provides a Virtual Private Network (VPN) service using
      standard OpenVPN and PPTP protocols.
      .
This package installs the optional GUI client, allowing users to
manage the VPN connection and configure run-time settings.

The Mullvad service does not require any special software; existing
PPTP and OpenVPN clients connect fine. The client allows Mullvad
customers to see the logo with an indicator of their connection, and
to manage features of their account on the Mullvad servers.

I did not; the bug report #840160 was correctly retitled to an RFP and I no
longer intend to create or maintain that package.

At the time of declaring the ITP, I was in private communication with the
Mullvad developers. They told me the code was ready to be published as free
software "soon" and that they'd be getting back to me when it was ready.

They did not contact me again, and I don't know anything more from them.

I wish you luck! It would be good to get the Mullvad VPN client in shape
for Debian.

Dear Ben & Debian Devs,

May I be of help revitalising this ITP for the Mullvad VPN client?  They provide a DEB and RPM.

Kindly,
Zach Cuipylo

This project has been renamed and released under the GPL3 on github at https://github.com/mullvad . This project ostensibly stalled due to licensing, but the company recently updated their app and I believe it would be good to upstream.  The company is responsible and dependable for this privacy and product quality.

Thank you for your consideration.
