Version 1.6 has an experimental /debian/ subdirectory included in the tarball,
so that one can build a debian package (dpkg-buildpackage -b -uc -us) instead
of making and installing in the traditional way.

Hello Markus,
first of all thank you very much for maintaining courier. It is highly
appreciated.

I'm currently nudged into using DKIM. I think courier-zdkimfilter is
a proper tool for courier. Search I found this ITP/RFP.

Upstream already contains a dpkg directory. I just checked on
bookworm, using this I can build the package and on first sight the
debian/rules looks like a good start. What I'm wondering is if/how the
database can be changed.

Lintian has some issues, but these seem to be dooable:
E: zdkimfilter source: build-depends-on-essential-package-without-using-version
Build-Depends: coreutils
E: zdkimfilter source: not-using-po-debconf
E: zdkimfilter source: untranslatable-debconf-templates [debian/templates:4]

Probably quick to fix

Seems obvious.

Typos?

Probably easy fix.

Well, useless

I haven't done anything besides doing a testbuild. Before proceeding
further I wanted to inquire about the status of your work on this
package, so I don't waste time redoing Debian integration.

Thanks!

Greetings
