citeproc-java is a Citation Style Language (CSL) processor for Java.
It interprets CSL styles and generates citations and bibliographies.
Some of the highlights in citeproc-java are:

 * With the BibTeX importer it is possible to create citations and
bibliographies from BibTeX files.
 * The library supports a wide range of output formats such as html,
text, asciidoc, rtf, and fo.
 * citeproc-java contains a Mendeley connector that allows you to read
documents from Mendeley Web and to use them as input for citations or
bibliographies.
 * citeproc-java is CSL 1.0.1 compliant and all tests from the CSL
test suite run successfully.

should be packaged. JabRef also depends on 1.0.1 now -> see

Since version 3.0.0 the library is Java-only. This should ease packaging.
