Dear Maintainer,

Since updating xserver-xorg-video-intel to
2.99.917+git20160706-1~bpo8+1, I've encountered numerous issues with
display corruption. For example, chromium will get stuck in a loop where
it behaves like I am switching between windows (title bar is blue, then
gray, then blue, then gray). Also, other windows will have their
outlines stuck on the screen in various positions after they've been
moved.

Since downgrading to 2:2.99.917+git20160522-1~bpo8+1, I no longer
experience these issues.

Looking at the changelog for the package, I'm unsure as to whether any
of the removed patches are to blame for the issue, or if this is
something that has come down from upstream.

I'm running a Broadwell processor, so the gen9 patches seem unrelated.

Also seeing this.  Every few days/weeks I start getting corruption of
objects (messed up bitmaps, icons that are blank, background that
doesn't clear/update), etc...

running 2:2.99.917+git20161206-1~bpo8+1 on Broadwell-U (8086:1616)
specifically on a Lenovo X1 Carbon 3rd gen.

Problem doesn't happen on 2:2.21.15-2+b2, however that version doesn't
support acceleration on Broadwell so everything is slow.
