Hello! As the title says whenever I select "fullscreen" the game
simply dies on me. The following is output to the console:

setting mode to 1024x768x32
X Error of failed request: BadValue (integer parameter out of range for operation)
Major opcode of failed request: 152 (XFree86-VidModeExtension)
Minor opcode of failed request: 10 (XF86VidModeSwitchToMode)
  Value in failed request: 0x49e
Serial number of failed request: 196
Current serial number in output stream: 198

I am using KDE5 and I believe that Debian is using Wayland on top of X.org
or something like that.

I'm setting this as important because I imagine most people like
to play games fullscreen but it is a matter of opinion really. If
you think this should prevent the game from reaching stable I
believe you'd have to change it to a higher severity.

Thanks for maintaning this great open-source game on Debian!

Hi,

I can't reproduce this bug myself; I have always been able to run
wesnoth in windowed or fullscreen mode without a problem.

My guess is that this is some sort of bug specific to certain
fullscreen resolutions (probably more esoteric ones). There are
mentions of this issue in the wesnoth forums, e.g. [1], so probably
not an isolated issue, but I don't think it's widespread enough to
justify a severity bump. Please try and see if this is reproducible
with wesnoth-1.13, and also consider filing a bug report upstream [2].

Regards,
Vincent

Hello Alex,

I hope this message finds you well.

Could you please let us know if you can you still have this issue?
I've just run wesnoth version 1.16 on fullscreen and it worked fine.
Should we close this bug?

Thanks,

Tassia.
