Heya,

on the old-old-stable version of moodle, dpkg-source -x fails with a non-zero
exit code:

Heya,

FWIW I've noticed in Debsources logs both this issue, and what seems to
be another occurrence of it on the moodle package. I've now reported it
here https://bugs.debian.org/787271

Is there a dpkg update planned to fix this in stable (or oldstable)?
If so, I'll be glad to test it on the sources.d.n machine.

Cheers.

Hi,

Thanks for reporting this issue.

I am not quite sure how to deal with this bug.

Maybe we should do nothing: Debian ships moodle only in
squeeze/oldoldstable and in sid/unstable. Moodle is Unsupported in squeeze-lts,
see e.g. https://security-tracker.debian.org/tracker/CVE-2015-5342. See
https://security-tracker.debian.org/tracker/source-package/moodle for what
would need to be done to support moodle in oldoldstable...

If it is sane to invest time in this; the slightly related fix at
https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=753219#10 might be helpful.

Bye,

Joost

Hi!

As I mentioned in #753219, I don't see this being changed in dpkg, and
the affected version was never fixed because the old-old-stable at the
time got archived anyway, so I'm going to be closing this now.

Thanks,
Guillem
