Dear Maintainer, If the computer is suspended and Cinnamon Screensaver does not started, when the computer is resumed then the screensaver (lock) does not immediately start on resume until a network connection has been established. If the connection does not start the screensaver will eventually start after about 1-5 minutes or so. I should also note that I am running as an LDAP client. This can be a security vunerablity as the desktop either visible and read only, or visible and interactive. Regardless information is leaked. Screensaver (lockscreen) should appear as soon as the computer is resumed. As a work around, locking the screen prior to suspend the screen will be locked on resume.
Thanks for the report. For future reference, the correct package for this issue is cinnamon-screensaver, which I've reassigned it to. -- Don Armstrong https://www.donarmstrong.com Vimes hated and despised the privileges of rank, but they had this to be said for them: At least they meant that you could hate and despise them in comfort. -- Terry Pratchett _The Fifth Elephant_ p111
I'm unable to reproduce it in sid with cinnamon-screensaver 3.4.2-1, I suspended with connection enable, after I removed network cable and resumed, cinnamon-screensaver showing and unclock is working (after insert password). Is there someone there still have this issue?
