Dear maintainer,

It would be nice if this package provided a .ttf version of Inconsolata
alongside the existing .otf version.

My package “sphinx-rtd-theme” bundles Inconsolata-Regular.ttf and
Inconsolata-Bold.ttf, and that would allow me to unbundle it properly.

Are there real consumers these days which can take a .ttf but not an .otf?
Those with special needs convert into their specific format such as woff
anyway.

I assume, that theme includes links to the filenames? Have you tried
patching them to point to .otf instead?

Hi Adam!

Nice idea. I would like to patch the theme indeed, but that is a complicated
task because to rebuild the CSS from SASS, I would need some 3rdparty
dependencies packaged first (notably bourbon and wyrm).

If you think all .ttf users should just migrate to .otf, feel free to close
this bug.

Anyway, I would like #780233 to be fixed because I would need the bold
version of this font.

Assuming your package is for official Debian inclusion, you will need to
use the true source - i.e. SASS rather than generated CSS - anyway, no
matter if you need to patch it or not.

Hi Jonas,

I know of course, I just need to find time for that.

That way you raise the chances of others helping out with the packaging
task.

That sounds like an RC bug; those build-dependencies should have been
packaged before packaging the font.

The rtd theme does not bundle Inconsolata anymore.
So this is not going to be implemented as long as nobody else demands it.
