Hi,

please add this small four-liner function so MuseScore can build
without a patch. I’m working around this in the upcoming upload
of src:musescore, but without such hackery is always better.

Perhaps get the kFreeBSD and Hurd porters to help making these
libraries more complete couldn’t hurt (pun not intended)?

Thanks,

retitle 870787 liboss4-salsa*: please add six snd_{midi,seq}_* functions
affects 870787 src:portmidi
thanks

Hello again,

we also need the following symbols in oss-salsa:

• snd_midi_event_encode_byte
• snd_midi_event_free
• snd_midi_event_new
• snd_seq_delete_port
• snd_seq_disconnect_from

These are required to build src:portmidi, which is a new
dependency of src:musescore, and thus extending the scope
of this bugreport instead of creating a new one. Just to
remind, we also need this:

• snd_seq_event_length

Please d̲o̲ provide this!

Small side note: perhaps, given enough functions in oss-salsa,
portaudio19 could also use it, achieving feature parity. (Which
is why I Cc’d its maintainers as well.)

Thanks in advance,
//mirabilos

Hello again,

we furthermore need the following symbols in oss-salsa:

• snd_midi_event_init
• snd_midi_event_reset_decode
• snd_midi_event_reset_encode

These are needed by src:dsmidiwifi.

TIA,

Hi,

anything ever going to happen on this front? This is
hindering multiple packages on kFreeBSD and Hurd ☹

Sad seeing Xes in buildd status on DDPO,

Hi,

I picked up this package which was a candidate for the Bug of the Day[1]
and worked on it on Salsa[2]. I need to admit I do not really
understand how this bug can be fixed and what "small four-liner function
so MuseScore can build" was talked about in the initial report (there
seems to be no patch). If you would provide a patch working with the new
upstream version in Salsa or even better a MR it can be included into the
upload to experimental (due to SONAME bump).

Kind regards
    Andreas.
