orage doesn't show birthdays, anniversaries etc. which are starting before
1970. And there are also no alarms. This seems to be an old bug which affects a
lot of calendar programms.

I found a simple workaround by editing involved .ics files:

  sed -i -r 's/VALUE=DATE:19[0-9][0-9]/VALUE=DATE:2000/g' <ics_file>

Missing dates are now shown as expected.

This bug was reported to the Orage developers in 2014 but never fixed.

I think it's much better to patch Orage than fiddling around with the
ics-files.
