Hello,

sometimes I find Thunderbird a little slow when I have to read lot of
messages coming from my check services: every time the message content
is downloaded from IMAP server.

Would it be possible an option to preload and cache all new messages and
a sub-option for contents, for faster message reading?

this is for sure possible. And maybe there is already a plugin that is
doing exactely this.
No matter how, this is something we can't and shouldn't within the
packaging of Thunderbird only. I guess it's better to bring this whish
to the attention of upstream developers.

So I suggest to write your wish into the upstream bugzilla instance to
let Mozilla now your wish and suggestions.
