#879675 setserial: Append to kernel boot string "8250.nr_uarts=8". After reboot I have got nodes for serial devices up to /dev/ttyS7 but when I trying to set using commnad setserial /dev/ttyS4 or upper, I have got error "Invalid argument". Using /etc/serial.conf no error messages in kernel log, the ports simply does not work.

Dear Maintainer,

   * What led up to the situation?
Using multiport card from BrainBox Ltd. It works well up to Debian 6.10 version

   * What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or
     ineffective)?
I have tried several Debian live version back to wheezy no result.
I have tried SystemRescue-CD can not set ttyS4-ttyS7
I have a "living" windows 10 on this box, and card is work well (every ports)
with same port and irq settings.

   * What was the outcome of this action?
I can not set port parameters using setserial - "Invalid argument".

   * What outcome did you expect instead?
Working multiport serial card from ttyS4 to ttyS7
I'm affraid that this is a kernel problem.
