Since a recent system upgrade, I have got over 500 of these per day in
syslog:

gvfsd[5416]: tdb(/var/run/samba/gencache_notrans.tdb): tdb_rec_read bad magic 0x0 at offset=1

Messages are produced in pairs, at distances varying from 15 seconds to
10 minutes.

I don't think this is a bug in gvfs. It seems you have a corrupted samba
related database, and libtdb1 produces an error because of that.
You should contact the samba maintainers regarding this.
