while trying build Audacity package with as many as possible system libs we
found a problem ...
portmidi library cannot be found by
audacity when passing --with-portmidi=system to the configure script.

Providing portmidi.pc file by libportmidi-dev should fix this issue.

Hi,

since a new version of portmidi was requested for some time I took the
freedom to update the repository that was ported by Jelmer from Alioth
collab-maint to Salsa Debian/ team[1].  I have uploaded the current
state to delayed=10 queue targeting exprimental since we probably need
some transition once Trixie is released.
