That is what happens now whenever I try to use Unison with any profile. It started
suddenly — everything worked perfectly until a few hours ago.

The situation seems to be similar to the one in which Unison asks the user to remove the
archives. Unfortunately lots of files are now reported as conflicts whereas only a few
really are.
