It appears some of our IPs have been blocked, and we receive a 403 Forbidden when trying to reach wiki.debian.org. Can you please unblock *189.103.121.228 ?* *thanks*
Looks like we have blocked the entirety of 189.103.*.* due to a number of spammers across the range. I'll discuss removing this block with the other wiki admins.
Dear Maintainer, As of today (2018/04/11), it seems my IP address (177.141.158.166) is blacklisted. Would it be possible to restore access to the website? Thank you.
Please
Dear maintener, my ip(186.221.50.11) cannot access the wiki.
Your IP wasn't blocked directly, but a much bigger netblock was. Your ISP (virtua.com.br) is a really bad source of spam attacks against the wiki, and nobody ever responds to abuse reports. Please find a better ISP if you can. I've removed the block on that network block for now, but if spam attacks resume then it may be re-added.
Hi, My office IP 185.123.72.18 is also blocked. Is it possible to unblock it? Thanks, Regards,
Hi Laurent, Just checking our logs - it was directly blocked due to a spammy signup attempt. But that was quite a while back, so I've just unblocked you now. Please let us know at wiki@debian.org if you need any more help.
1.0.179.0/24 is blocked too, perhaps whole TOT Thailand IP range? 1.0.128.0 - 1.0.191.255 Please unblock, thank you.
Dear Admin, Would you be able to unblock my statically assigned IP 119.15.103.114 please? I have been unable to read anything in the Debian wiki for many month and I am a recent user keen to learn , but have had to source my information from stack exchange and reddit, because your wiki is unavailable to me. regards, Ralph Holland
Hi, My address also seems to have been blacklisted: 90.120.212.217 I would be really grateful if it could be unblocked. Regards.
Dear Maintainer, Acces to wiki.debian.org is blocked with a 403 forbidden if i use my Vodafone / Kabel Deutschland connection. I'm not sure, but i think my ip is 95.90.222.93 I connect thru a DS-Lite-Tunnel, AFTR-Gateway: 2a02:8100:c0:405::b:1:af72 (i dont know about that IPv6 stuff) Oh, and while the error page is correct html both firefox and edge show the <p> tags and dont interpret them...
Unblocked.
Hi. Can’t access wiki from my office network. Our IP address 87.236.187.11. Thanks.
Unblocked.
Can't access the wiki from my home network, Please *unblock 177.200.70.142.* Thanks in advance
Hi there, our IP is also blocked by the wiki. Can you add an exception for us? 50.251.200.225 Please and thank you! Jack
Why is this happened? I-ve trying to make an account, to add some supported hardware, than I was blocked. Not cool.
I am trying to access the debian wiki, and I am getting a Forbidden return Please could I be whitelisted? 85.248.157.233 Best Regards André
Dear Maintainer my IP is forbidden when trying to reach wiki.debian.org. Please, can you unblock 176.221.120.161 ?
Dear Maintainer, I am a normal Debian desktop user. But my ip 175.41.46.121 has been blocked for months now. It would be helpful if my ip is to be whitelisted since it is restraining me from looking up in the Wiki. Also note that, in my country (BD), there are very few Debian users (GNU/Linux users in general also) so hardly any chance to abuse from this ip. Thanks in advance. Regards, Redwan
Dear Maintainer, please unblock 165.225.194.0/24, my employer uses ZScaler to filter http(s). I also noticed the extra <p>, somehow this is duplicated in the 403 error message file: <p><p>You are not allowed to access this!</p></p> Thank You.
There are 4 addresses in that range blocked, all for obviously spammy signup attempts. The most recent two were in May this year. Could you explain these please: 2024-05-13 08:48:05 UTC: New account attempt username: EstelaYun2 email: f.ra.nk.pau.la.t.oni.n.ey.rs.r.x.pm.4.0@gmail.com host: 165.225.194.172 (no rDNS) BLOCK: auto-blacklisting ip 165.225.194.172 (too many dots in email local part f.ra.nk.pau.la.t.oni.n.ey.rs.r.x.pm.4.0 :14) ... 2024-05-13 16:56:46 UTC: New account attempt username: AleciaCrus email: lylebrient7503@8.dnsabr.com host: 165.225.194.161 (no rDNS) BLOCK: auto-blacklisting ip 165.225.194.161 (mail from known spammer, pattern .*.dnsabr.com) Is this malware on your network?
Hello Steve, i can not explain that registration attempts. Currently our Stuttgart office is having resulting address 165.225.194.161, when using fra4-2-vpn.zscaler. However in 23. May it was using 165.225.240.226 and others. I do not know of a way to reverse this assignment. Possibly they pool differnt customers. So yes, looks like the blocking is justified. Would be nice if pages could be read, and just account registration and other modifications could be blocked.
Hi, Please could you allowlist the following ranges: 8.36.116.0/24 8.39.144.0/24 31.186.239.0/24 163.116.128.0/17 162.10.0.0/17 I'm a Qualcomm employee, working on an initiative inside Qualcomm to improve support for Qualcomm hardware directly upstream and in Debian. On my Qualcomm corporate managed laptop, I often get a 403 reaching https://wiki.debian.org, making it difficult to demonstrate to colleagues how to do packaging correctly! My understanding is that some of our outbound ranges but not all of them are blocklisted on the Debian infrastructure side. These IP ranges are from: https://docs.netskope.com/en/newedge-ip-ranges-for-allowlisting I hope this is the appropriate place to ask - it seems to have become the de facto venue for allowlist requests? Thanks, Robie

Dear Maintainer, * My residential broadband IP 88.97.40.160 started receiving 403 responses from wiki.debian.org a couple of weeks ago, please can you unblock it?
Hi, I f-botched a signup on wiki.debian.org fumbling with my password manager and got blocked. It would be awesome if someone could clear my name and give me another shot. 184.179.160.226 Thanks,
It appears that my current IP is also blocked: 141.226.92.46
Hi! Thanks for contacting us. Due to massive abuse of resources by morons scraping the entire web for data for their LLMs, we've ended up blocking various parts of the net from accessing the wiki. Recently, however, those same morons have made things worse by using botnets to access resources from residential IP addresses scattered all over the world. We've been analysing traffic to identify IPs involved and block those too, but sometimes that isn't 100% accurate. We're refining that analysis over time to make it work better. Checking our logs, it looks like our anti-bot checks incorrectly blocked you here. I've removed the block for you now,
I just scrolled through this report and it seems like an amazingly tedious job to maintain such black-/whitelists. I have no better suggestions on how to deal with this issues but may I suggest to advertise this bug URL on the "Forbidden Page" so that non- "experts" have a chance of finding the unblock process? (I was under the impression that the site was down for maintenance for a very long time before I started investigating.) Thanks for all the work you put into this maintenance! Anyway could you please unblock: 94.136.7.212 Home 91.114.48.170 Office 41.66.93.184 Office Backup Line Thank you very much! David
