Dear Maintainer,

Discover->settings->software sources try to exec software-properties-kde via
kdesu.
It ask for root password but nothing happens.
I have to force and close dialog box and software-properties-kde doesn't start.

I receive a " SECURITY information for user " email that says:

machine : Apr 18 21:07:59 : user : 1 incorrect password attempt ; TTY=pts/4 ; PWD=/home/user ; USER=root ; COMMAND=/usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libexec/kf5/kdesu_stub -

It seems that a wrong password is passed

PWD=/home/user

Hello
I can reproduce this bug in version 5.14.5.1-1 (current buster).

I have launched plasma-discover from console so I can get some output in the
terminal, here it is:

When I force-close the dialog asking for password and/or plasma-discover, I
don't get any other message in the console.

Hello
I've reproduced the same issue with KDE partition manager and it seems
that the problem is in kdesu (a bug was reported already):

#913741 libkdesu5: when kdesu is invoked by kde partition manager, after
entering the password the window freezes

I've added a block.

Kind regards,

i was able to also reproduce this bug with an (at the time of writing) up
to date system. i also wanted to add that, at least for me, after pressing
the software sources button and then closing discover, it will not relaunch
again.
ps, kde partition manager works just fine on my end?
cheers!
