I am the only user of my system, so set allow-user-switching=false in /etc/lightdm/lightdm.conf expecting it to cause light locker to no longer ask for a login/password combination when unlocking the screen, but instead to only allow entry of my password. Instead, the screen remains blank and unresponsive (e.g. wiggling mouse, typing etc causes no change) and there is no way to unlock my session again. Setting allow-user-switching=true fixes the problem, allowing entry of login/password to unlock my screen.
Control: tags -1 sid confirmed Control: found -1 1.8.0-3 If you're the sole user, you don't have to change 'allow-user-switching'. You can achieve what you want without touching this key. This is true for light-locker 1.8.0-3 and lightdm 1.26.0-8. With that said, I suspect the problem might be with lightdm and not light-locker. The output of light-locker in debug mode is attached. Manually calling SetActive() and SimulateUserActivity() methods with `dbus-send` has no effect (similar log messages are output).
