Package: roxterm Severity: wishlist Version 3.6.1 Hi, it seems some people continued ROXTerm development on Github: https://github.com/realh/roxterm The major show stopper bug seems to be fixed - It builds on Stretch (With a newer vte) and works like a charm. Thanks Flo
Hi, I'd like to emphasize that it's not just "some people" who continue roxterm (maybe an unofficial fork or so). It's _the original author_ who moved it to a different location and is working on the project again. cheers, egmont
... and he's also the maintainer of the Debian package, haha, I missed this bit :) Tony, do you feel like reviving maintenance of the Debian package, or perhaps finding a new maintainer for it? Thanks, egmont
I was only a sponsored maintainer, and I found the release process a bit of a pain to be honest. I would prefer it if a 3rd party maintainer could be found. There wouldn't be much for them to do because I have kept the debian subdirectory up to date - which also makes it easy for users to build their own package straight from git, so I don't really see a huge demand for making it official again.
Ok, maybe many of us _old roxterm users_ are using roxterm from github, but having it in debian repos would be really appreciate. Just in SID or experimental, maybe :-) Thanks. A roxterm lover.
