Hi If I create a new file, select a map image and GPX route and then click on OK, quickroute just hangs indefinitely without using much CPU. The same happens when I open a QRT file created on Windows. The same map image and GPX track work just fine in the Windows version of Quickroute. There is an exception stacktrace in .config/QuickRoute/QuickRoute.log (attached). If you need the map image and GPX track to reproduce the bug I can send them to you by private mail or upload them somewhere. Opening the JPG exported from Quickroute on Windows to our DOMA archive [1] works also on Debian. Gaudenz [1] https://www.ubol.ch/DOMA/show_map.php?user=gaudenz&map=42 P.S.: Thanks for packageing Quickroute. I was very pleasantly surprised when I discovered that it's now available in Debian. I hope this issue can be resolved. And as you seem to know .Net and Mono I would also be very pleased if you would package PurplePen. If you need help with packageing or a sponsor for an upload I would be glad to assist.
Hi Gaudenz, The state of the overall Mono ecosystem in somewhat orphaned by upstream since around 2019 [1]. GUI applications are especially affected by this. Also, there was a low-level issue affecting Mono's (de-)serialization, that made .qrt files produced by the Linux version of QuickRoute not entirely compatible with the Windows version or DOMA. I am afraid, the most reliable approach nowadays is to run QuickRoute (the official, Windows-based version) through wine.
