Hi,

for derivatives it would be nice if mmdebstrap would be usable within
debian-installer. first requirement to do this would be to add a udeb
package.

Daniel

Hi,

Quoting Daniel Baumann (2018-09-27 11:59:22)

certainly!

I never created a udeb before though. Is there some documentation on how to
create and test a udeb somewhere?

Of course patches would also help. :)

Thanks!

cheers, josch

Hi Johannes,

the techical part of it is simple, I'll send a patch for that.

the administrative part however requires to ask for permission on
debian-boot@lists.debian.org before uploading it, making the case why
it's needed/usefull etc.

Regards,
Daniel

This looks like a major undertaking, considering that mmdebstrap
requires perl and apt. There are no udebs for either of those.

Cheers,
