Dear Maintainer,

   When I drag the cursor select texts on the screen, the border of the
   line gets randomly teared. Please see the screenshot, notice that
   the bright lines are just my wallpaper leaked from the konsole
   background.

   I have scaling enabled as my laptop has a small screen, which means
   that `QT_SCREEN_SCALE_FACTORS` is set to `eDP-1=1.5;DP-1=1.5;HDMI-1=1.5;
   DP-2=1.5;HDMI-2=1.5;` The tearing no longer occurs if I unset the
   scaling factor, but then it's just too small to read on a small
   screen.

found it on upstream's bug tracker... Although it's marked resolved for
now, It's likely to be reopened as there are comments saying the fix is
not working.

I used to have similar issues but I don’t remember seeing it recently so it
may well be resolved. I’m using scaling 1,25 so not exactly the same as you
but I did experience the issue and it did disappear for me on bullseye.

Did you try running bullseye by any chance ?

I’ll monitor that more closely and report back. I previously got used to it
and learned to ignore the issue.
