The apt-cache madison bash completion does not include source packages,
even though it works with them.

$ apt-cache madison popple
poppler-data          poppler-utils         poppler-utils-dbgsym
$ apt-cache madison poppler-
N: Unable to locate package poppler-
$ apt-cache madison poppler
