I was wondering why my /etc is 11 GiB in size. Turns out /etc/.git (from etckeeper) is 10 GiB, because it covers /service/*/log/main/* from dæmontools. This is… unfortunate.
Hi Thorsten, I'd love to move to /service, from the very beginning actually, but FHS and so Debian Policy does not allow. daemontools works fine with symlinks, so you could setup log directories in /var/log/ and link them into service directories, e.g. /etc/service/foo/log/main -> /var/log/foo/ Regards, Gerrit.

Jan Mojzis dixit: This bug is nowhere even NEAR obsolete. Did you even READ the bugreport AT ALL, or did you just mass-close all existing bugreports because you couldn’t be arsed to look at them? Of COURSE this bug is still relevant and still exists! Slightly appalled, //mirabilos
