When I use Glagolitic shrift, not correctly display several Unicode characters in font family Cantarell:

U+2C2B GLAGOLITIC CAPITAL LETTER IZHITSA
U+2C2C GLAGOLITIC CAPITAL LETTER SHTAPIC
U+2C2D GLAGOLITIC CAPITAL LETTER TROKUTASTI A

U+2C52 GLAGOLITIC SMALL LETTER SPIDERY HA
U+2C5B GLAGOLITIC SMALL LETTER IZHITSA
U+2C5C GLAGOLITIC SMALL LETTER SHTAPIC
U+2C5D GLAGOLITIC SMALL LETTER TROKUTASTI A

Problem exist in plain text editors and web browsers.

Glagolitic shrift is using in historical, science and hobby works in common Slavic countries.

I suggest that the output problem exist in another fonts family like Sans and Monospace.

I am using 4.9.0-8-amd64 #1 SMP Debian 4.9.130-2 (2018-10-27) x86_64 GNU/Linux.

means? What exactly happened? Could you provide a screenshot?

And second, could you pelase try again with a different font, preferably
with one with a known wide Unicode coverage like e.g. fonts-freefont,
fonts-dejavu or fonts-noto? Does the same happen or does the result look
different?

Yes, it's true that Cantarell is missing the glyphs - and so are literally
hundrets of other fonts in Debian. If you are requesting here to add
glyphs for an obscure historic alphabet to Cantarell, I am afraid we won't
get any further.

But, if all you want is being able to view the glyphs in your browser,
again, please try to install any other font with a wider Unicode coverage.
