Attempting to upgrade grub (was set to install grub to /dev/sdb )
* What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or
ineffective)?
unchecking install to /dev/sdb proceeded to completion but I wanted to
succesfully run "grub-install /dev/sdb", so I moved
/usr/share/locale/*gmo files out of the way temporarily:
root@am64:/usr/src# grub-install /dev/sdb
