* Package name : file-rc Version : 0.8.18 Upstream Author : Winfried Trümper and others * URL : https://packages.debian.org/stretch/file-rc * License : GPL/BSD Programming Lang: sh Description : Alternative SysV init mechanism using a single configuration file file-rc still has interest and users, see discussion on the debian-init- diversity mailing list. Unfortunately there doesn't seem to be time to get it into buster before the release, but it would be good to get it back for the next release.
control: reassign -1 wnpp [2019-02-15 22:05] Andrew Kanaber <akanaber@chiark.greenend.org.uk> Seems I was not clear with my request. Nevermind. Reassigning this RFP back to wnpp.
Or would it require me to adopt the package in order to get it resurrected? I use it in all of our systems, and it is starting to get awkward: it still works, if preinstalled, but I now have to get it from oldstable if it has not been installed yet.
The new version 0.8.19 can be obtained from: git://devel2.cuci.nl/file-rc Also, consider this an application to become a registered Debian maintainer. My credentials: - author of procmail - Linux kernel developer since 1992 - GCC developer for two years - PostgreSQL developer
I'm filing an Intent to Package (ITP) for file-rc now.
