Description : FFcast is a command line too for taking screenshots and recording screen regions of with really simple and useful interface.

It depends on: Bash 4.3+, FFmpeg (png rec), ImageMagick (trim), xdpyinfo (-x), xprop (-f),xrectsel[1] (-s), xwininfo (-w).
