Since Buster there is a short silence after resuming video playback from pause. This does NOT happen in Stretch (I just tested it), although both distributions have the same VLC-version. How to reproduce this behaviour under Buster: 1. Start video playback 2. Pause playback 3. Wait 10 or more seconds 4. Resume playback You will have silence for a second while the movie continues.
