Hi,

I intend to orphan the keepassx package.

After trying to contact Diego Sarzi privately and considering that Shengjing
Zhu tried it too via #874950, I am orphaning keepassx again.

I sponsored Diego on an upload for keepassx during DebConf19 and I thought he
would be able to keep it updated.

Keepassx is a great software with high popcorn and it needs due attention.

Regards,

Giovani

I agree. Maintaining a package requires time and skills. Please, don't
adopt this package if you don't really intent to maintain it.

Thank you for your action Giovani.

Regards,

Eriberto

Hi, is not maintained anymore upstream:
https://www.keepassx.org/index.html%3Fp=636.html (the announcement is
recent but the latest version is 5 years ago)

his fork keepassxc is already present in debian and maintained
(https://tracker.debian.org/pkg/keepassxc), I suppose that instead
search maintainer for keepassx can be good check if possible a
"transition" to keepassxc (and after remove keepassx)

FTR I used to used to use keepassx (I still have it installed - but
haven't used it for years). I switched to keepassxc some time ago. My
experience was that it was a drop in replacement. There was no
transition, just point it at your existing db and everything "just works".
