Dear Maintainer,

Since many years ago I always use vlc. Last saturday I had a
presentation of photos with xsfp format.

It failed (stopped at random jpg / .mov file), i had to pkill -9 vlc,
About 100 friends that were to view the photos started to sing "Windows
, windows ..." (they was joking :) ), because I was using Debian Sid
(of course) and vlc and then I had to switch to eog to see the photos
as alternative. eog
worked fine.

Today I studied the problem, I can see that vlc works fine on Xorg, but
that it doesn't work fine on wayland. I found the bug on vlc bugtracker [1]

I think vlc should advice about running better on Xorg, until vlc 4 is
released
