reopen 941426 reassign 941426 apt retitle 941426 When user faced with choice... thanks Actually Debian has a problem, or apt has a problem. There is no way for the user to know the proper choice in such situations, other than searching the web for discussions. Perhaps apt needs some new feature, where maintainers can signal the right path... NP> Yes, please do this ;-) texinfo-doc-nonfree is already removed from NP> unstable.
I think this should work automatically when the information that texinfo-doc-nonfree is not available in your suite is properly registered. There might be a short lag, since it was removed only today, so this information might not have arrived at your side (server). Best Norbert

^^^ and no "unstable" etc.
So the user is apparently supposed to thus realize the package is no
longer in the distribution...
So maybe apt should say
'xxx is no longer in the distribution, so we recommend you hit "y"' or something.
