Description : Git repository summary on your terminal

Onefetch is a command line tool that displays information about your
Git project directly on your terminal. Onefetch supports almost 50
different programming languages. If your language of choice isn't
supported: Open up an issue and support will be added.

====

I maintain a similar tool called "pepper" but that tool hasn't seen
any activist in 4 years. In comparison, onefetch seems much simpler
and focused, but I haven't tried it yet, it being Rust...

Hi Moritz,

are you still planning to package onefetch?

If not, I would like to package this. If you are still planning, I can
also help maintaining this package if you want.

Regards,
Hiago.

Hi Hiago,

I am currently working on this. I have already created a packaging
repository on salsa (https://salsa.debian.org/Moe123/onefetch) and
added packaging metadata. Feel free to take a look and give me
feedback, I would appreciate that very much.

onefetch has some dependencies that are not yet in Debian. To fix that
I opened a merge request here:
https://salsa.debian.org/rust-team/debcargo-conf/-/merge_requests/992

I am currently waiting for it to be reviewed/merged and the relevant
packages to be sponsored afterwards. When that is done, I can test my
package and request sponsorship.

So, there is progress being made, but I am neither a Debian Developer
nor a Debian Maintainer, so it will take some time.

Regards,
Moritz

Hi Moritz,

Great! I took a look at the debian folder and it does look goot to me,
at least for now. I see there are some patches as well, but I understand
they are just to set some dependencies versions for now to make onefetch
buildable right?

Good, let's wait then to see how it goes there. I am excited to see
onefetch in Debian soon =)

Let me know about this, I know some guys that could sponsor if they
want, since they helped me on packing fastfetch.

Cheers,
Hiago.
