    * More information: I compiled plplot-5.14.0 from sources downloaded from
sourceforge and verified on my Debian 10 box the behaviour. I also compiled
plplot-5.15.0 from sources, also from sourceforge, and this shows the expected
behaviour. Pictures are attached to show what I tried to describe.

Hi Joachim,

could you provide a small program source that shows this behaviour? This
would make the debugging much easier.

Also, did you see it in the Debian version 5.15.0?
