Progress update: I got myself familiar with how the code is built and prepared patches to generate and package both the .a and .so libraries. I will target version 2.3.0 to rework.
Progress update: Palabos v2.3.0 has been packaged after a revamp by me. I also successfully built and run tutorial_1_1 using the .a file included in the package for verification. Next step: I will look for a Debian Developer (DD) to sponsor the upload during DebConf 25, particularly during the Debian Science team BoF. Anyone who happens to be the user of palabos deb or interested in such packaging work is more than welcome to reach out to me. I am looking forward to your feedback.

Dear Andreas, Thank you for the suggestion. I've already taken care of both the mailing list and the Salsa membership. As a quick update on my progress: I attended DebConf 25 and received some helpful feedback from senior Debian Developers like Mattia Rizzolo. I am currently improving the package based on his advice, as well as the guidelines on his sponsoring page: https://people.debian.org/~mattia/sponsoring.html Things are moving a bit slowly at the moment, but I am still actively working on it.
