Dear Maintainer,

I have set environment variable FREETYPE_PROPERTIES in /etc/environment
FREETYPE_PROPERTIES="truetype:interpreter-version=35"
Most of the applicaton shows font as expected for type 35

But not in Thunar, it ignores it and uses type 40.

Please, take a look on my screenshot. You will be able to notice that anti-
alising on left and right windows is different.
Left is Thunar, on the right is mousepad. Mousepad makes anti-alising with
truetype:interpreter-version=35

Thunar is not, it uses version 40 or 38, which is the same.

Font anti-alising should be everywhere the same.

Is the variable properly set in Thunar environment, did you check it? Can you
stop thunar (thunar -q) then start it from the terminal with env var set?
