* Package name : otter-browser Version : Upstream Author : Emdek (https://github.com/Emdek) * URL : https://www.otter-browser.org/ * License : GPL v3.0 Programming Lang: C++ Description : Fast and configurable web browser inspired by Opera 12 Otter Browser aims to recreate the best aspects of Opera 12 and to revive its spirit. It is focused on providing the powerful features power users want while keeping the browser fast and lightweight. Among its advantages over other web browsers, it is fast, its user interface is configurable, it allows per-site overriding of configuration options, it aims to be modular. On the scale of coercing its users into a predefined path for the sake of "simplicity" and allowing them to stay in control of their own web browsing experience, it stands firmly on the side of the user. I am currently evaluating the Otter Browser. I have revived the packaging and am looking at its feature set. There are some bugs with the browser, which I'll try to work with the upstream. My intent is to first evaluate the longevity of this package and then act on whether this should be part of the Distribution
Is there some explanation on this change ? Or is it some broken script that is run ?
* Ritesh Raj Sarraf <rrs@debian.org> [210514 17:33]: The bug is still titled "RFP:". I *guess* RFPs usually should not have owners. Maybe you want to actually retitle to ITP: and again set the owner. Chris
Hello Chris, Yes. Possibly that may be the reason. I did retitle the bug report, but to an "ITA: " than an "ITP: "
Hi Ritesh Did you mean to work on this, do you already have something? Would you like to form a team to work on it? I've got a working package that needs more d/copyright tuning here: https://mentors.debian.net/package/otter-browser/ Best,
Hello Gürkan, The link you provided to the prospective package returns a 404, unfortunately. Could you please provide a link to your current code for other to contribute? Thanks in advance, Mt
