Dear Maintainer,

*** Reporter, please consider answering these questions, where appropriate ***

   * What led up to the situation?
switched on bluetooth in my dell studio 1735 running debian 10.
   * What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or
     ineffective)?
turned off the bluetooth radio from settings menu which ineffective. turning
off bluetooth in bios seems to solve the problem.
   * What was the outcome of this action?
cpu usage remains 100% all the time.
   * What outcome did you expect instead?
turing off/on of bluetooth radio should not keep the cpu usage at 100%.

I am seeing the same problem in stable 13.6, package version 5.82-1.1.

Updating the kernel and firmware-mediatek packages from backports didn't help.

I manually backported bluez-5.85-4 from testing, and this DID fix the
problem.

Relevant installed packages:

ii bluetooth 5.85-4~bpo13+1
ii bluez 5.85-4~bpo13+1
ii libbluetooth3:amd64 5.85-4~bpo13+1
ii libspa-0.2-bluetooth:amd64 1.4.2-1

ii firmware-mediatek 20250410-2

ii linux-image-6.12.95+deb13-amd64 6.12.95-1

One of my CPUs being pinned at 100% usage while streaming music over
Bluetooth severely drains the battery life on my laptop, so perhaps this
bug is of a higher priority, and a stable update is needed?

Thanks.
