Any news about this issue? I stumbled over this while searching why eyeOfGnome does not show WebP images. I would be happy to view WebP images with eog. kind regards txt.file
Hi, There is a new upstream version but the package is not yet an official Debian package. What is exactly the issue here? Regards, Tarik On Fri, 3 Dec 2021 18:07:33 +0100 Vieno Hakkerinen <txt.file@txtfile.eu> wrote:
Hi, No news on this package. The webp format is increasingly used. It's a shame not to be able to see these images in Linux desktops. Image viewers like EOG or EOM don't see webp images, there are no thumbnails in file explorers... There are several bug reports that are blocked because the software uses pixbuf-loader. Regards.
webp-pixbuf-loader is now in the Debian NEW queue https://ftp-master.debian.org/new.html Thank you, Jeremy Bicha
