Hi,

I use Roboto Regular font for most of my interface (gnome).

When opening a file dialog in flatpak apps, All text in the dialog
appear as squares. It works if I switch to Cantarell Regular (or, apparently, RobotoRegular Regular).

Steps to reproduce:

- Install Roboto fonts - (fonts-roboto-unhinted and fonts-roboto-hinted,
in my case).
- use gnome-tweaks to change interface text font to Roboto
  Regular
- open gedit has a flatpak (org.gnome.gedit)
- try to open a file

While leaving the file dialog open, one can change font to cantarell or
robotoregular (any variant), and it works fine.

It might be a bug in the Roboto package.

Cheers,

nodens

I also use roboto fonts from Debian repositories for GNOME interface.I can reproduce and confirm this bug still occurs on latest Debian 11 Bullseye, currently in testing.
